Who was Queen Victoria?
Victoria was born in 1819. Her full name was Alexandrina Victoria.
In 1837, when Princess Victoria was only 18 years old her uncle King William died and she became the queen.
Her coronation was in Westminster Abbey in 1838.
Queen Victoria married her cousin Albert, a young handsome prince from Germany.
Queen Victoria had nine children. She also had 40 grand-children and 37 great-grandchildren. Most of Queen Victoria's children married into other royal families of Europe.
Queen Victoria's reign lasted sixty four years, from 1837 - 1901.
